The opportunity wasn’t another list of the island’s best beaches. It was everything a traveller needs to know between booking the flight and coming home.
Challenge
Mallorca is hardly an undiscovered destination. A new travel publication has to earn its place alongside established guides, tourism boards and booking platforms. Publishing another broad overview of the island wouldn’t be enough.
But travellers don’t stop at the overview. They want to know which night market is worth an evening, how to get around without a car, where to eat in Palma, and what changes when they’re travelling with a baby. Each question is an opportunity to be useful — and a separate piece of content to research and maintain.
Visiter Majorque needed the depth of a destination specialist, with a publishing operation that could cover more than a handful of obvious topics.
Solution
The team built Visiter Majorque around one destination and one audience: French-speaking travellers planning a trip to Mallorca. FinalBoss Engine supports the article publishing operation, while the team shapes the coverage, develops the destination guides and decides where to go deeper.
The site combines structured guides to towns, beaches and activities with articles that answer specific planning questions. The guides give readers a way into the destination; the articles help them make the smaller decisions that turn an idea into an itinerary.
Rather than treating every article as an isolated search opportunity, the team connects those answers into a publication. A reader researching Palma can move from a city guide to shopping, affordable restaurants and things to do — all within the same destination.
Results
Nearly 12× monthly Google clicks in four months
In April 2026, the first full calendar month after measurement began, Google sent 535 clicks. By June that had grown to 2,611. July reached 5,863, and August climbed to 6,334 — almost twelve times April’s level.
September brought 4,182 clicks: below the summer peak, but still nearly eight times April. Across those six complete months, the site earned 20,528 Google clicks. Including the opening weeks in March and October through the 17th, the total reaches 22,453.
The small travel decisions became the big traffic drivers
The strongest performers weren’t just broad destination pages. A guide to Mallorca’s night markets earned 5,065 Google clicks. An article on what to bring home from the island brought another 1,911. Shopping in Palma, visiting with a baby, hiking at Formentor and finding affordable restaurants also brought readers to the site.
That is the value of depth: a publication doesn’t have to win every broad travel search to become useful. It can earn its audience one practical answer at a time.
Readers arrived from Bing — and from ChatGPT
Google wasn’t the only way in. Bing recorded 3,473 clicks from April 2 through October 17. GA4 also attributed 1,843 sessions to ChatGPT between March and October 17 — actual visits to the site, not just appearances in an AI answer.
Across all measured channels, Visiter Majorque recorded 17,215 distinct users, 26,336 sessions and 34,202 page views by October 17. A focused destination publication was finding an audience through traditional search and AI referrals alike.
Content built around what travellers want to do next
Travel content has a natural next step: choosing an experience. Visiter Majorque’s activity coverage gives the team a place to connect helpful destination advice with relevant GetYourGuide affiliate offers. The opportunity is to meet readers while they are deciding what to do, not interrupt them with an unrelated offer.
The next editorial priority is more specific activity coverage by destination — helping readers move from discovering a place to choosing how they want to experience it.
What’s next
Majorque gives the team a working model for other destinations: clear editorial focus, substantial destination guides and a steady supply of useful articles around them. The team is applying that approach across its travel publications, while continuing to deepen Mallorca’s coverage.
FinalBoss showed how the engine could support an established gaming publication. Visiter Majorque shows the other side of the opportunity: building an audience around one destination, one useful answer at a time.
Visiter Majorque is owned by the team behind FinalBoss Engine. Data extracted on 20 October 2026 from Google Search Console (Web search), Bing Webmaster Tools and GA4. The chart shows complete months, April–September 2026. Overall Google and GA4 figures cover March–17 October 2026; Bing covers 2 April–17 October. ChatGPT sessions are identified through GA4 source attribution. Search clicks, sessions and users are different measures and are not added together. The site combines engine-supported articles with team-developed guides; results reflect the publication as a whole.
